Marco Berger film "Plan B" is a wonderful tale about the confusing twist and turns of falling in love, when you never expected to, especially when your initial attempt is revenge. Video availability outside of United States varies. At first I didn't think the leads were that hot but as the movie goes on they become incredibly sexy. Marco Berger's style of direction was completely unknown to me; the slow progression and long shots all inducing a marvelous state of contemplation. They are sexual and raw and real. I am a huge fan of "Plan B".
As in all his films Berger tells us a lot by what is left unsaid, the actors have to rely more on facial expression than on script or scenery. I really liked the film. Unbelievable and amazing. This is truly a sexy well acted gay love story. The artists seem to me to understand men so well, the way men form attachments with other men, the effect it has and the ways in which it becomes such an immensely private matter, etc. The way the film develops makes you to get to know the people and surroundings on an intimate level, it's almost like you can "smell" the movie (this amazing achievement is "slow" for some, I read) the acting is amazing and they make a VERY unusual story 100% believable. To me it is simply one of the best (if not the best) cinematic portrayal of two straight men unexpectedly developing for one another attraction, affection, and commitment. Plan B Films is a member of Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them. I'm sure that if they were really interested in having sex it would have been more apparent to them, especially as they were not sexually inhibited generally. Anyway, I can't recommend the film highly enough, but only if you have patience and understand men broadly. It's gratifying to watch a gay themed movie where my intelligence is not insulted. I agree with another reviewer that it was better the second time around.
Their on-line chemistry is incredible and makes the premise of "Plan B" actually believable.
