The issue with this film is the lack of originality, that made the original so great. Just because your intention is to sell a product doesn't mean you can't have cutting commentary or take the piss out of what you are selling. There's more about the connection between the Lego world and the human world, but after the mindf*** ending of the first this time it just doesn't feel as organic.
Achtung. This was a good film and it's a shame the series will be rebooted.
